Easy DIY embroidery hoop ornaments that you can make in minutes.
Yes, I realize that this is still the first week of November. Why, you might ask, am I talking about Christmas? Frankly, as bloggers, we must share our creative ideas well in advance of each holiday. Just like all major magazines do. This affords you the opportunity to gather supplies and materials to make your own holiday and Christmas crafts. You will be prepared for whenever you decide to decorate. Today I’m easing in with easy DIY embroidery hoop ornaments.
It seems lots of people are ready for the Christmas holidays. Some of you have already decorated your homes. Which camp are you? Early starter or wait until after Thanksgiving?
Let’s Get Started
SUPPLIES:
- Assortment of miniature craft bottlebrush trees
- 4″ embroidery hoop rings
- Elmer’s Glue
- Faux Snow
- Ribbon
- *Optional – greenery and red berries for embellishment
I liked this assorted pack of Christmas trees as the trees are different sizes.
For this embroidery hoop ornament I used Elmer’s Glue. Feel free to use the glue of your choice.
This faux snow was in my craft supply stash from last year.
- Glue a large tree to the inside of the hoop ring.
2. Add a second, smaller tree next to the large one. Let dry completely.
3. Pour glue over the bottom edge of the ring, under the trees.
4. Sprinkle a generous amount of faux snow on top of the glue. Be sure you have good coverage. Let dry completely.
5. Optional – Embellish with a bit of greenery and red berries.
6. Add ribbon for hanging.
I made several of these embroidery hoop ornaments in a short amount of time.
The hardest part is the waiting time for drying.
They turned out super cute and look great on the tree.
I chose the black and white buffalo check ribbon for its classic look.
